Drug Abuse Rehab, Looking For Help?

by michellechallenges on October 29, 2009

Determining if you are a loved one is ready for drug abuse rehab is difficult proposition to consider.

In asking the question, you are actually providing one of the answers. People who honestly do not have difficulty with drugs are seldom questioning whether they have a problem or not. Put another way, if you’re asking if you have a problem you probably do.

One highly recommended course of action is to get an assessment from an accredited drug addiction therapist. This assessment will determine the necessary level of treatment, as there are varying levels of treatment. There is a good chance that the person doing the assessment will be able to recommend a drug abuse rehab for your consideration.

Of course, any indication drug and alcohol treatment center will have the capability for assessment on premises. However, an independent assessment may open you to some different options. Once the clinical level of treatment is determined, it then becomes a matter of selecting the right treatment facility.

There are practical matters such as cost, insurance coverage, and location to be considered. Perhaps one of the most important considerations is to make sure that any treatment center you are considering is certified for accredited. The two accredited the agencies you should be looking for are the Joint Commission, which  has been evaluating organizations that provide mental health, chemical dependency, mental retardation/developmental disabilities services, and other psychosocial services; and CARF the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Either one of these agencies will assure you that the drug abuse rehab is inspected and meets code requirements. Click Here for our recommendation for a great drug rehab

There is a really great informational site about drug abuse and addiction, http://www.drugabuseclinic.org/… you can find helpful information about the causes and symptoms of a particular drug addiction, as well as the treatment options that are available.

Also, there is a toll-free helpline, 1-800-714-8354 which you can call, and speak to a trained professional who will be able to help answer any questions you may have and will help to come up with next steps to get yourself back on the right track and on the road to recovery.

I hope this was helpful!
