Gambling addiction is something I am very familiar with. I have relatives who suffer from this addiction and they have refused to seek help. My aunt’s house has been re-possessed by the bank, since she used it as collateral for all the loans she took out to support her bad habit. It’s such a destructive illness, one which nearly destroyed her family. Fortunately she was able to turn her life around, but she still tells me how she misses it and how easy it is to get back into this awful habit.
